Blog Tour & Review for Against All Odds by JL Perry

Title: Against All Odds
Series: Destiny #4
Author: J.L. Perry
Genre: New Adult/Erotica
 Release Date: May 27, 2015

Angel and Chase come from two different worlds. Angel grew up privileged. Her father is CEO of Cavanagh and Associates and her mother owns a successful dance school. Chase on the other hand grew up with a neglectful, manipulating mother, who put her numerous husbands and boyfriends before the welfare of her own son. So much so that when he was twelve, his stepfather at the time, who also happens to be a member of a notorious bikie gang, walked away from his marriage, taking Chase with him.
Angel Angel is daddy’s little princess. In his eyes, no one is good enough for his little girl. Due to his overprotectiveness, at the age of twenty-two she’s never had a serious boyfriend. She decides to move away from home to finish school, so she can experience all that life has to offer. That includes men. When she meets Chase Daniels, sparks fly. He’s the ultimate womanising bad boy. Even though her common sense says stay away, she can’t seem to control the attraction she feels for him.
Chase Chase doesn’t hold women in high regard due to his past. With his good looks and charm though, he has women falling at this feet. Just the way he likes it. He’s a playboy and doesn’t do commitment. Then he meets Angel. She’s not only beautiful, but sweet and innocent. Nothing like the women he’s used to. The feelings he has for her are foreign to him and he doesn’t like it one bit. Despite all this, he’s drawn to her, like a moth to a flame.

Not only do they have their families to contend with, there’s also the secrets from Chase’s past. These secrets have the potential to destroy him, and will also tear them apart. The odds are stacked against them, but will they still be able to find happiness together? Or will it be enough to stop the one thing they want more than anything, each other?

*****5 Stars*****

I thought going into this series midway that I wasn't going to like reading this standalone book cause even though it says can be read as standalone, this sometimes doesn't give you past characters/events to fill you in.
Loved it and will definitely read her other books in that series.

Angel and Chase come from two different worlds. Angel's over protective dad leaves her a 22 year old virgin. She moves away from home to finish school and meets Chase when sparks fly. Chase is a womanizing bad boy and when he meets Angel he doesn't like the feelings he has for her. Just when they give their relationship a go again-after hurting her, secrets from Chase's past can destroy them. These secrets affected both families. The odds are against them so the question becomes "can this secret destroy what they've built together or will this end them?"

Expect the unexpected cause this book is emotional, suspenseful, has unexpected twists you thought you figured out and leaves you wanting more.

Destiny Series 1-3 Review

****4 Stars****

I really liked this story line. Great characters and the always lovable drama make for good reading.

Brooke is married and feeling lonely after moving to a new city for her husbands job as a lawyer. At a work party she meets his boss Logan. Sparks are there but she is loyal and loves her husband.

Logan is a focused and driven man who only wants to make his father proud. Women are great but not permanent fixtures. Until he meets Brooke and instantly sees a future. Sadly she is married and he realizes it wasn't meant to be.

Through a series of events they meet up a year later and hit it off again. Logan wont let her go this time because he knows it is destiny that brought them back together.

What follows in the rest of book 1 and all of book 2 is ALOT of Drama and craziness. I will say that it felt a little drawn out. The author tried to fast forward here and there but we got a lot of filler and daily life happenings that weren't always necessary and I found my self skimming here and there. Still a really great story though.

Book 3 was a great read about a side character from the first two books and was a nice continuation. I really loved Mason and Jaz. They both had such difficult childhoods that it made life a little different. That kind of stuff sticks with you and makes life difficult. I loved the fire between them and the conclusion was so great.

I really like this author and look forward to more. Thanks for a great book!
