Synopsis

Ashlynn, Grace and McKoy have been friends since junior high. They have been there for each other through thick and thin; through abuse in more ways than one can imagine, and ultimately, through tragedy. Despite the tests their friendships have endured, it is nothing in comparison to the betrayal their circle is about to encounter.

Ashlynn and Grace have both settled down in happy marriages and McKoy has a pain in her heart from the ache of her missing this in her life. Her friends’ marriages have a passion and an always forgiving love that she can only dream of.  Now it is McKoy’s turn to get her happily ever after… Her soulmate… or so she thought.

McKoy Snyder, since age 14, had her future completely planned out. She was going to run her granddaddy’s winery and be happily married with two kids by age 30. She was madly in love with the one man that she thought was meant for her, Beau Evans. Beau had his own plans for life and they did not include McKoy.

McKoy’s dominoes start tumbling down, and she finds out that life doesn’t always go as planned.

All her plans, hopes and dreams are demolished and she is crippled by the heartache. Her world as she knows it starts to take a drastic turn and she has to start making decisions she never thought she would be faced with. McKoy has to decide whether to rise to the challenge or be defeated.

As McKoy finally accepts she is alone, Dr. Grayson Moore walks into her life and he immediately falls for her.  Grayson is tall, dark, handsome and sexy as hell. He desires to embrace McKoy for who she is, and to show her love like she’s never had.

Can she heal from the heartbreak from the losses she encounters?

Will she let the man that very well could be her future walk away?

Excerpt

He put his finger in my pants, past my lace thong and rubs over my opening. My eyes are rolling back in my head and I am overcome with the feeling of pleasure. He rubs over my opening then up to my clit then back again. He moves his tongue in and out of my mouth as he slowly drags his finger.

“That feels so good Grayson.”

“Does it?”

I suck on his ears and run my tongue along them a little bit continuing to rock on him as he is fingering me. I'm about to finish after we are barely getting started. How the hell am I going to explain this?

And then it happened. I came. Holy shit I came and it had to be one of the most intense orgasms I have ever had. If he can make me this good from just touching me, there is no telling what he is going to be able to do to me in bed. Grayson brings his finger up that he had buried in me and licks it then smiles.

He continues kissing me while running his fingers up and down my spine.

****4 Stars****

This book experiences it all- birth, love, aging, and death. Emotional heartbreak from page one. Here's an excerpt: "a part of me dying, a part of me dead, a part of me gone forever. Cried till nothing left-tears are dry. Losing him and the child he will never meet".

McKoy has her life mapped out and she believes this includes Beau, who has been in and out of her life for ten years. She still believes he's the one and when she tells him, she's pregnant he wants nothing to do with the baby. They have a circle of friends- Ashlynn/Cooper, Grace/Kyle and learn Beau isn't what they believed growing up. In between this comes Grayson who falls head over heels with McKoy quickly and wants to spend rest of his life proving that he will be there for her and the baby. Picture perfect, think again. Beau has destroyed McKoy, her kindness, willingness and her trust. Grayson proves to her that he is her future, Beau is her past. McKoy/Grayson find out some devastating news on the baby and decided they will follow their heart and raise baby regardless of outcome. Her parents are less than supportive and only her grandad supports her decision besides her friends.

Where does the excerpt come from? Unconditional twist you didn't see coming. The ending has one of the greatest quotes that all should live by- "live life to fullest, love the hardest and also be grateful for your blessings. Everything else...".

After reading book three and knowing about the other characters, you'll definitely want to go back and read book one and two to get full story on her friends. You can read this out of order cause the author fills you in so that you can see glimpses of prior events in this story. Can be read as a standalone.
