Matthew (co-owner) of the Onyx Club is a man whore until he meets mousy Ella. Her past is dark and what she goes through is sick with a man who held her captive. Matt as she calls him (though he hates being called this-only Ella has gotten away with this) earns her trust and falls hard for her and will do anything to protect her. He slowly earns her trust and gets her to be able to enjoy being a submissive to his dominant until her past catches up to her. Will he be able to save her a second time or does her past ruin all the work spent to get her to learn to live life again?
This story is not for people who do not like dark stories and BDSM. This was a standalone book in this series and I hope they continue this story beyond the epilogue as there is so much more we could learn on these amazing characters. Kinda left you hanging that there could be another. Not for the faint of heart, but it's a must read if you enjoy these types of stories.
