*****5 Stars*****
OMG you are left hanging with your mouth open at the end of book 1 and
then you read this book. Holy heck was this an emotional roller coaster
filled with passion and suspense. Candy and Jax went through hell in
this book and I was finally glad to see the way it ended. The author
really had me on my toes and I truly thought this was going to turn to
the worse. I don't want to give away details of the book cause you will
definitely need to read this series by this author, but I gotta say I
still am not fond of Vanessa even though she was innocent in this whole
thing.
I do have a ton of questions on this
character and the details that surround this. Maybe we can get a novella
on this portion or see if in a future book on the other characters. I
was excited to learn that Kate a secondary character will be getting a
book so maybe we can get a book on Taylor and get our questions answered
from his side from events that involve Candy, Brooklyn, and Vanessa.
That is one threesome to read about huh lol (dirty minds they didn't
have a threesome they are friends and has stories tied to Taylor).
Candy
continued to torture herself over Chase even after his passing. Jax
loved her through and through even though she was a true runaway bride.
In the end though no matter how many times he came to save her and was
waiting for her to come back he still pulled a good one and pulled it
off. Sometimes love is blind and right in front of you and you settle
for what feels comfortable from what you are used to until you truly
open your eyes once it is gone.
Those letters
really tear you up and make the book even more real than it already
feels. This series and the author's other series tied to this truly
needs to be made into a movie or a tv series. We all love passion,
suspense and characters that are funny and lovable plus add in hot
cops, a DA, an ADA and an author and you have a great movie to watch.
This
is the final book in the series (book 2) *insert sadness* and you must
read book 1 before you read this book as it picks up right where it left
off. You can continue reading about some of the characters in her other
series as well. This is one author that will continue to be read by me
once a book comes out and I would probably want some of that coffee
while I'm reading as well thank you very much lol. Coffee, reading and a
killer series what more to ask for!!
Up and coming author Elizabeth York has been writing for about seven years. Located in the southeast, she spends her days drinking sweet tea on the porch with her laptop in hand. She has devoted her life to her family and her books. With the loss of her Father to cancer in 2010 she makes "Dear Daddy" dedication pages in each book and donates 10% royalties to cancer research. Take the time to get to know the characters and you will love them as much as she does.
