“Opened or closed?” He’s referring to the blinds on the windows.
“Open.” I want to see him in the moonlight.
I’m scared to say anything else, and I sense Julian is as well. Our usual conversations are filled with teasing and sarcastic banter. Those words don’t fit this setting. The air is thick with our need for each other. Julian walks up behind me and gently turns me around so I’m facing him and moves me closer to a solid wall. I’m thankful he doesn’t press me against the glass. I look up at him and see his eyes are filled with desire. The sheer intensity of his stare makes me take a small step backward, and I feel the wall behind me. This isn’t the first time Julian has towered over me in this position, and my mind races back to the night in the hallway at the club. His presence makes me feel protected, and once again I’m amazed by the different feelings he inspires in me. Julian places one of his hands above my head on the wall, bracing himself over me. His other hand starts to work on the button on my pants. We’re just staring at each other, lost in each other’s eyes and barely touching. I’m in awe of his restraint. I’m fighting everything I have inside me not to reach out and touch him. Something in his eyes tells me he needs to be in charge and that he needs me to understand and respect his dominant nature. I’m dying for his lips to be on mine. They’re still swollen from our earlier make-out session, and I’ve been aching for him to kiss me since we walked out of the elevator. I tilt my head further up to meet his and lick my lower lip as an invitation.

“Mmm, Alexa,” he murmurs as he bends down and softly runs his tongue between my slightly parted lips. He stops there and pulls back, never taking his eyes off mine. That isn’t exactly what I had in mind, and the ache in my body intensifies.

Once he has the button on my pants undone and the zipper pulled down, he slips his hand in and lets his fingers graze lightly over the silk of my panties. We moan simultaneously. I feel a rush of heat fan out from between my legs, up through my stomach and into my aching breasts. My nipples are so hard they actually hurt. I know he can instantly feel how wet he has made me.

Author Bio:  

Have you ever woken up one day and said, “Today’s the day I’m going to do (insert thing here)?” Well, I did, and the result is my first novel, Stay. I always thought of myself as a decent writer, and then a trip down memory lane through my ninth grade book of poetry confirmed it. I realize that I have always had a romantic side and a way with words. With support from my husband and kids (and an unspoken agreement to leave me alone for a few hours every night), I embarked on this incredible writing journey.

I’m originally from sunny Southern California and spent my summers in South Florida. I attended college at FSU and received my Masters in New Mexico. I finally settled in the Washington, DC area. My happy place has always been anywhere near the water.

When I’m not writing, I help run a business with my husband, watch an inordinate amount of sports (my kids play something 365 days a year), indulge my competitive spirit on the tennis court, and spend time with my awesome family and friends.

I am an avid reader, but find my characters feel neglected when I hang out with other author’s characters for too long. When I do read, historical fiction is my favorite genre. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures, places, and times.

I feel so blessed that my love of books inspired me to finally do something that I forgot I had always dreamed about doing.

I wrote a story for my camp yearbook when I was eight. It was about my first week at sleep away camp.

Who knows? They pop in my head randomly.. Some stuff is reality based but mostly just my vivid imagination.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? 
Enjoying life as an empty nester and traveling with my husband. Still writing too I hope! 

Most likely thing sitting on your desk while writing? 
Post it notes and a pen. I jot ideas down as I write. Usually a bottle of water too.  

Where would you go and what would you do if you had all the time and money you would need? 
A cruise around the world. I love to travel and would like to see everything. 

Your stuck on a deserted island and have 10 things that fit in your purse and one person....What/who are they? 

My husband... metal water bottle, sunglasses, sat phone, fire starter, pocket knife, string, flip flops, gum, mirror, bug repellant…...my kids made me be practical :)

 If you could meet anyone alive or dead... 

Jesus. 

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you? 
Can't think of one.. Have a ton of minor ones but nothing major.

Okay.... So I am just going to go for broke and review all 1200 amazing, heartbreaking, panty melting, drama filled pages in one shot. I mean hey I read them all together so it's only fair right ;)

First let me say this...... There is no BDSM or kink factors in this book BUT if you loved EL James, J Kenner, Sylvia Day, RK Lilley, Jodi Ellen Malpas, Maya Cross, Kitty French or Sylvain Reynard you will love this!! 

Alexa is troubled and stuck holding on to past issues, mistakes, and hurts. She's funny, sweet, and loyal. She is also a huge drama queen. Oh and she LOVES shoes. They are her one weakness. It's really quite hilarious how much shoes are a factor for her. 

Julian is living his life trying to please his family and live his dream of owning an all inclusive hotel. His life is too hectic to settle down and love someone the way he knows a woman should be treated. When he meets the beautiful Alexa their connection throws all of that out the window. 

They back and forth between these two gave me whiplash. They were so frikin up and down I felt like I was watching a yo-yo. Sometimes I almost want to stop reading when the drama and chaos get to be too much but it didn't even piss me off (other than wanting to lovingly strangle them). The writing keeps you so involved in the story that you are too engrossed to want to quit. 

I loved all the side characters. They were the perfect addition and gave the books the extra dose of variety. 

You will not regret reading these. I was shocked to learn this was a debut series. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for whatever is next from this AMAZING author.
